A set of six chrome folding chairs
A set of six chrome folding chairs
A set of six chromed flat steel framed folding chairs with black leather upholstered sprung seats and back supports. The model, Elios, the producer, Lübke Vono, the designers, Francesco Geraci and Renzo Fantoni.
Francesco Geraci and Renzo Fantoni collaborated with Lübke to create some iconic mid-century modern furniture pieces. One standout design is their folding chair from 1969, often referred to as the "world's slimmest folding chair." This chair features a sleek combination of chrome-plated steel frames and black leather upholstery, showcasing the minimalist elegance typical of the era.
The design was a response to the popular Plia folding chair by Giancarlo Piretti, and it emphasised both functionality and style. The leather backrest was designed to adapt to the user's posture, while the chair's compact form made it ideal for modern living spaces.
