An unusual George III Hepplewhite period mahogany armchair, the curving shield back finely carved with husks and foliate devices, with three bifurcated splats crowned by carved semi patera, the sinuous swept back arm supports with husk decoration, supported on square tapered legs capped with paterae and ending with spade feet, the front legs decorated with fluting and stop fluting.
