A fine early 19th century German carved and gilt pier mirror in the neo-classical style, headed with a carved depiction of the goddess Ceres resting on a border of egg and dart flanked by lion's masks, the frame decorated with fruiting vines finished in two tones of gilding with a carved pearl border.
