A fine George III satinwood, mahogany and rosewood crossbanded secretaire bookcase, the arched cornice with centre entablature, with a band of chequered ornament and boxwood stringing, the glazed doors decorated with Gothic tracery, resting on two drawers above a fall-front secretaire drawer fitted with a combination of seven cedar-lined drawers with turned ivory pulls and pigeon holes, with three further drawers below retaining the original oval gilt decorated handles and standing on elegant splayed feet joined by shaped aprons.
