A fine mid 19th century verre églomisé barometer and thermometer of hexagonal shape, the dial with a central rosette decorated with foil-backed ruby and gold and a ring of emerald annotated with gilt lettering, bordered with strapwork in gold on an opaline ground, edged with carved wooden mouldings and surmounted by a lyre-shaped thermometer.
