A rare Chinese tea caddy of rectangular shape decorated with stylised lotus borders and chevron patterns in gilt lacquer on a black background, the interior fitted with four engraved double-lidded paktong tea cannisters, decorated with animals and birds amidst floral decoration, the original paper labels attached inside the lid, for keeping 'Pekoe', 'Hyson', 'Gunpowder' and 'Souchong' teas and further inscribed with 'Fils de France, 1st Chop Extra'.
